SC Child Photographer – Kingston!

I had such a good time photographing Kingston! This little guy has such an amazing, energetic, fun personality, which is PERFECT for me as a photographer! We listened to his favorite songs from Kidz Bop, and had tons of fun laughing, singing along with the songs, and chasing each other around the studio. It was so much fun!

Seriously – this guy is so handsome!!!!

I just have to say, those eyelashes are not fair.

Such a funny little jokester. Love it!

I love how animated he is!

Campbell Family Portraits – Greer SC Photographer

Every year since their kids have been born, Kim and Chad hire me to take their family photos. Every year, I look forward to spending a dedicated hour photographing this awesome family! You can see some of their other sessions here, here and here.

Kim and I have been BFFs since we were 15 years old, and she and Chad have the most adorable children! Michael is such a sensitive, funny, sweet little guy. Ellie, with those giant blue eyes and teeny little mouth, is a fierce little firecracker! She just looks at you with a daring stare, and you can tell she is trying to figure you out.

I had such a great time in Greer, SC hanging out with the family and photographing everyone. Love you guys! I actually took these photos several weeks ago, but wasn’t able to post them until after Christmas! Kim and Chad gave these portraits out as Christmas gifts. That is such a wonderful compliment, and I LOVE knowing that portraits I created with this beautiful family are hanging in the homes of people throughout the country. It just feels great.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I only wish the utmost happiness, joy and beauty in your life for the upcoming year.

The look on Ellie’s face here is priceless. You can just see that she is plotting something naughty. Her parents must have a hard time disciplining her – that face just makes your heart melt.

Life is great. I’m so grateful for all of it. I love this time of year more than any other.

SC Newborn Photographer – Little Baby Grady

I stopped over to meet handsome Baby Grady on a brisk Saturday morning at his home in Columbia, SC. You may remember his parents when I shot Mom’s maternity portraits a few months ago.

Grady and I hit it off famously. I know I couldn’t stop staring at his adorable little face, and his bright blue eyes, and his little perfect nose, and his squishy little baby lips…. etc.

He flashed me a few smiles from the safety of Mom’s arms to let me know he was ready for his closeup. What struck me about Grady is that only at 7 weeks old, he is SO aware! He focused on everything I did, made eye contact with me the whole time, and really worked it for the camera! His proud dad calls it “situational awareness.” Love it!!!

Why, hello there, handsome!!!!

He LOVES his dad. It was so much fun watching them make the same faces together.

When Grady gets older, he is going to treasure these photos together with his parents holding him. You can see the love and adoration in their eyes. I can feel their love through the photo!

Grady’s nursery was GORGEOUS. I love the mix of soft green and yellow. It was so peaceful and serene in there!

Fun at Riverbanks Zoo!

Kim and I have been close friends since she moved here from Florida when we were both in the 9th grade. It’s been about 16 years now. W to the OW. Kim now has two adorable children of her own, and brought them for a fun weekend visit this past weekend. We had TONS of fun at Riverbanks Zoo this weekend. We packed a lunch, hopped in her minivan and popped open the two-seater stroller for a fun afternoon. I LOVE Michael and Ellie so much, and spending time watching Kim with them inspires me for when I become a mother (someday? – not sure yet). Enjoy some photos of our time at the zoo!

Michael is at that age where he doesn’t stop moving, certainly not long enough to pose for a camera, so I grabbed as many action shots as I could!

Ellie is quite the talker, especially when she sees monkeys!

By the end of the day…. we were all pooped! Ellie fell asleep within ten seconds of putting her in the van… no exaggeration. This face is so adorable! Michael was wired the rest of the day, thanks to the Icee that Mom bought for him!

Greenville Family Photographer – The Campbells

I met up with Kim and the family a few weeks ago to get their family portraits taken for Christmas! I can’t think of a better gift to give your loved ones than the gift of lifelong memories! Little Ellie is growing so fast, and getting more beautiful every day! She was pretty chill the whole time. Michael took a minute to warm up to the camera, because his evil parents did the unthinkable – they put him in a BUTTON-UP shirt!!!!!!!! How dare they?!?!? After a little while, though, he got over the trauma and all was right with the world.

Kim, Chad, Michael and Ellie – thank you so much for everything! I love you so much! I hope everyone loved their Christmas presents as much as I loved taking them!

How cute is this???? Every single one of you just smiled, I know it!

Those eyes are going to kill the ladies someday… Ok, fine, I admit it…. they already kill me with their cuteness!

Normally this picture would drive me a little crazy because the flower is so close to her head, but in this case, I love it, because it looks like a little flower hairbow!

Columbia Family Photographer – The Toomers

I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest family a few weeks ago! We started off downtown for some neat, brick backdrops, and then ended up at the Statehouse for some running around and more picture time! I am in love with these kids!

I love the way the light was hitting them in the photos below. Can you believe Nyela’s oldest daughter (on the left) is only 13??? She looks so confident and mature!

Michelle’s Ultrasound Baby Shower – Vision of Life – Piedmont, SC

I went to Michelle’s ultrasound baby shower this Saturday at Vision of Life in Piedmont, SC – she won this by registering at one of their displays/booths at one of the giant consignment sales in the area. What a great prize to win! The office itself is very nice and comfortable, with plush couches and chairs for everyone to sit on and watch the ultrasound on a flat-screen television that is mounted to the wall. Michelle had a nice, plush bed herself, and although she was getting poked and prodded the entire time, it took Audrey about 16 minutes before she would show her face to us! She obviously doesn’t know how much camera time she’ll be getting when she gets out of there – or does she?

They provided the food, decorations, and even printouts of some stills from the video – they were very generous, and it was a unique and very nice experience! I really enjoyed the staff there – extremely sweet, caring, and with a great sense of humor!

Enjoy a few of the photos I took of the event!

Vision of Life provided several beautiful prints from the baby shower – here are a few I took of the television screen as it was actually being done! Isn’t she cute?

Here is a video of when she actually smiled during the ultrasound – it was such a clear smile – we all squealed, as you will hear!

Here is Thomas, being silly… He didn’t eat the cake – he skinned his piece of cake and ate just the icing!

One of the cute printouts that Vision of Life gave Michelle – look at Audrey’s defined features! So cute already!Mmmmmmm….cake!Smiling baby, Pink punch, presents, and friends – what more can you ask for?Michelle is so happy!

Delicious punch! LOVED it! The staff actually prepared the food themselves – a really nice, personal touch. It definitely was delicious! Loved the wraps and chicken salad!

Time Flies..

Especially when you’re watching your children grow! Although I don’t have any children of my own, I consider my clients’ children my adopted sons and daughters – even if it is only for a few hours at a time! I was going through my folders from previous sessions, and was amazed at how grown up these kids seem from just a year ago! I compiled a few of my favorites below. Don’t let those precious moments pass you by without having them captured!

I love to capture children and families in a very relaxed manner. I typically spend between an hour to an hour and a half shooting, with time for breaks, snacks, etc. It’s truly like a play date for the children, or “hanging out” for older kids–no overwrought posing or cajoling, just very easy-going and stress-free for all involved. I most often hold the session in the client’s home, but I love to shoot in outdoor locations as well, especially in the city. Please contact me to schedule your child or family portrait session! These truly are treasured heirlooms that are gorgeous when hung on your wall as a canvas or beautifully framed print!

We had to put her in a little tutu for her first photo shoot…. Look at her little ruffles!

A few weeks ago, Kim and little Michael came over for some quality time with “Aunt Teffy.” That’s me. We had a great time playing, laughing, and of course – taking pictures!

Michael is so awesome and sweet. I just want to squeeze him every time I see him! That can be dangerous, because my hugs are BEAR hugs! He doesn’t seem to mind, though.

We went out in my yard to play with some bubbles to celebrate the fantastic weather. The pollen was a little overwhelming, but it was a happy day because it just symbolizes the beauty of spring.

I first met Kingston at 6 months old for his very first photo shoot. Since then, he has been my little friend, and every time I see him I am amazed at how much more handsome, bright and adorably charming he is! His newest obsession is Beyonce, and it is so cute to watch him dance with her in front of the television!

Bridget brought McKayden over and we had a fabulous time on a gorgeous day! Bridget looked amazing, and McKayden was such a natural in front of the camera! I am in love with that baby!

I love how the little warning tag is behind her on the bottom photo - She is looking over at the camera like she's about to do something devious! Of course, if she did, it would probably be adorable, and she would get away with it because I would just sit there and admire how gorgeous she is!
