There is something about Charleston that holds a sense of magic. Maybe it’s the breezy sea air, or the delightful mixture of old and new everywhere you look. Maybe it’s the gorgeous gardens at every home or the eclectic mix of people roaming downtown at night. It could be that you can spend all day on the beach with your dog, and then you can walk up to a restaurant with that same dog, wind-blown and covered in sand, and be seated with a smile – and your dog gets a bowl of water and some love, too! I think it’s all of the above and more. There are so many parts of me that would love to move to Charleston – but then I’m afraid I would get used to it, and would grow accustomed to these things. And then where would I go to escape?  🙂
